The Brave Pedro Cano - Jan

The Brave Pedro Cano - Jan

There was a war going on in the Hutgen forest in Germany, between the German and the U.S soldiers. There was a brave soldier named Pedro Cano of the U. S. Army, who was well known for his courageous actions.

Pedro was advancing with his unit towards the enemy camp in the Hutgen forest.

As they moved forward, the unit saw a big German enemy camp. Both the units had a long fight and there was heavy bombarding from both the sides. The war went on for two days and Cano eliminated almost 30 troops of the enemy. When the enemy could not fight anymore, the remaining soldiers ran away.

On seeing this, all the soldiers of Cano's unit shouted with joy and hugged Cano for his bravery.

After this achievement, the soldiers felt a little relaxed and they lay idly in their camps.

Two more days passed by. On the sunny afternoon of the third day, some of the soldiers were relaxing in their camps. Some were on patrol and were roaming around, doing their duty. Suddenly, Cano and his platoon were attacked by the German soldiers, in their camp All the soldiers were taken by surprise and were not at all ready for the attack. Because of this, many soldiers could not save their lives. Many soldiers could not even lift their guns and got killed brutally. Cano could only his soldiers turning into corpses.

Cano was very patriotic and diligent. He was a brave soldier who had always served his country and had helped his fellowmen. He was not able to bear the sight of the numerous casualties around him. So, Cano hid nearby and waited for an opportunity to strike back.

Meanwhile, the enemy soldiers were searching around to kill any U.S. soldier who was alive. They were throwing grenades everywhere and because of which, Cano was badly injured. But Cano lay there motionless on the ground, for quite a long time.

Soon Cano saw that the enemy soldiers were relaxed as they could not find any U.S. soldier alive. They stood together chatting and praising each other for their wickedness.

Cano did not lose this opportunity. He tossed a grenade into the assembly of enemies. All of them were taken aback. Many were wounded or got killed. The remaining ran away.

Cano was able to defeat the enemy soldiers but was injured. In spite of this, he was happy that he had successfully annihilated the enemy.

Cano was an example of unmatched bravery, courage and patriotism. He was a soldier who did not even think once of his own life while serving his country.

Moral: Patriotism comes from within and is the driving force to win.
